I was saved just by reading the Bible. I had Christians in my life as friends at the time and their witness was a powerful influence on me; but I accepted the Lord while reading the Bible and focusing on Jesus Himself. I have been changed ever since by a relationship with Him and His amazing love.

Read any good books lately?:
"Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel; "Reason in the Balance" by Phillip E.Johnson; "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens; "My Antonia" by Wila Cather; "The Long Valley" by John Steinbeck;
What Bible character do you most identify yourself with?:
I would like to say Abraham because of his faithful patience; or say Joseph because of his integrity and dedication to God; or I would like to say Paul because of his zeal for the gospel. Yet, I often find I have more in common with a man in Jesus' parable (starting in Luke 18:9) who said, "God be merciful to me a sinner." So often I feel I need to impress Him, but all I need is His grace.
Is there any one message that you always want to leave with the audience?:
"Jesus Loves You." It is probably, to me one of the most profound, though simple revelations a person can receive. It is the solution to every problem because He is more powerful than any problem. When you think of the fact that a man who is God - and God who became a man - is powerful over death itself, and He loves you (whoever is reading this), then you really have nothing left to do but rejoice. What do you have left to fear? What is there to be sad about? I am convinced that no matter how much I grow in faith, or how mature I think I am, I will never cease to be caught in complete amazement by the fact that Jesus loves me.
What goes through your mind before you go onstage at the average show?:
I must admit that I am often merely concerned with the trivialities of simply playing the show and getting off stage with as few mistakes as possible. However, I do aspire to a better awareness of the ministry of God's Spirit in every heart that is seeking Him, whether it be at a show or at an airport terminal. I cannot really speak to someone's heart without the anointing of His Spirit on my words and in my actions. I try to be conscious of this and to rest and rejoice in the work He does through me.
Why do you do music? What is your primary goal?:
I play music because it is one way that God can preach the gospel through me. My primary goal in life is to utilize every channel of creativity and expression that He opens for me, so that every audience that He presents me with - from one to one million (or more)- will know that God loves them and Jesus died for them.
